These are some examples of how our minds and bodies are connected. For some people the physical symptoms or sensations are the reason they originally sought out help. Many clients with difficult pasts will often describe feeling restless at night, have trouble sleeping, or have a hard time resting their bodies when they are physically exhausted or injured.
If you have a chronic illness or chronic pain, it can feel hopeless at times and hard to see a way forward. Feelings of anxiety and depression are common with chronic pain and illness. Reaching out for support can be helpful and reduce feelings of isolation.
